A quick bit of advice before I head off to work....

If you heart tugs you to make that call, do it.

If it occurs to you to give something away, say something kind, or love someone who needs love, don't edit or censor or think it through. Just do it.

If you feel like praying the rosary, or saying a psalm out loud, or sneaking into a dark church and laying on the floor to pray, do it.

Be fearless in your love. Love hugely.

Do it.

I am not sure what you mean, friend John. Please say more!

I am just teasing you with a bit of Quakerese, Rachel. "Concerns" and "leadings" are promptings of the Spirit: the former is an urgent, God-given interest; the latter is a specific course of action about a concern. "To bear a burden" is have a concern without knowing just what to do about it, though it is also the feeling that comes from not following a leading (say, to call a friend). To be "under the weight of a concern" is similar.

I just had to chuckle, Rachel, when I read your "advice," for ir is simply for me to act like a Friend.

LOL, I get it now! Those terms, to the non-Quaker ear, don't sound particularly Holy Spirit-ish, but as you explain them, they certainly apply.

Yes. Act like a Friend. Indeed!
