Critical mass

There were 7 of us in Lectio Divina this morning. The biggest crowd yet. And another woman asked me about it at coffee hour, so it looks like we might even grow out of our space.

We have been hovering at 3 or 4 for months. For the whole first year, we were lucky if two of us showed up. But God has plans for our little group, I think. So we are growing.

Thank you, Lord, for your presence when we gather in your name. It is such a gift that you join us every week.

That's cool to hear Rachel. I'd like to join a group like that or maybe even help lead one at some point. Any suggestions you would offer?

Pax.

Hi Bryan,

I say, go for it! If you come to it with a humble and open heart, the group will begin to come together. In the beginning I was a bit uncomfortable, especially when someone would veer off the process, but now I am much more comfortable in the role of facilitator and can keep things on track without being control freakish.

We use a liturgy that was developed by the Native American Ministries of the Episcopal Church. It is available from the headquarters in NY. You can call 800-334-7626 and ask for the Native American Ministries. The booklet is called the Disciples Prayerbook and it has variations for the seasons of the church year as well as different times of day.

If you would like more details, please feel free to email me directly using the link on my profile page.

Blessings, Bryan!

I love and use this prayerbook - how wonderful it is what God is doing.
