I breathe this prayer in and out when I am agitated or depressed and the wave of Peace washes over me. Thank you, Jesus, for this breath prayer, for this body prayer, for this heart prayer.

It's great to sew by, too. :-)
John,
What language is that? I would love to hear what it sounds like spoken aloud!
I have been what I can only call 'oppressed' over the last week or so. And the remedy was the Jesus prayer. I woke up feeling light for the first time all week. I praise you, Lord Jesus Christ. And thank you.

It is a powerful prayer, and if you keep it up it can "establish" itself within.
That is Church Slavonic, the liturgical language of the Rusyn churches, both Catholic and Orthodox. I think it may also be still be the liturgical language of Russian Orthodoxy, but I am not sure about that. And its use is dying out here in America, in any case.
I'll see if I can make an audio file of it for you, featuring your's truly :-)
